hospitalis…
In building on June 13, 2009 at 10:13 pmA unique, weird restaurant has opened in Riga, Latvia named “Hospitalis“.It is a must-see place if you like gore things. The restaurant looks like a medicine cabinet, while you are treated as a patient and taken good care by the long-legged waitresses in nurses uniforms.
The food is served in flasks and operating-room’s dishes and isn’t that cheap (7 and more lats per meal), but this is a bizarre experience that is worth breaking the bank. Besides, the place is owned by local doctors, but unfortunately, the president of Latvia, who is also a doctor, declined his appearance at the opening once he realized how weird this place actually is.

who is working the highest position in the world???…
In amazing, dubai on March 9, 2009 at 10:00 amBabu Sassi, a fearless young man from southern India is the cult hero of Dubai ’s army of construction workers.
Known as the “Indian on the top of the world”, Babu is the crane operator at the world’s tallest building , the 819-meter Burj Dubai. His office, the cramped crane cab perched on top of the Burj, is also his home. Apparently it takes too long to come down to the ground each day to make it worthwhile. When the building is completed, its elevators will be the world’s fastest.
Stories about his daily dalliance with death are discussed in revered terms by Dubai ’s workers. Some say he has been up there for more than a year, others whisper that he’s paid 30,000 dirhams ($8,168) a month compared with the average wage of 800 dirhams a month. All agree he’s worth it.

World wildlife fund was founded more than 45 years ago and for all this time it has been protecting the future of nature. It is the world’s largest independent conservation organization with over 5 million supporters worldwide, working in more than 90 countries, supporting 15,000 conservation and environmental projects around the world. It is a charity, with approximately 90% of its funding coming from voluntary donations by private individuals and businesses.
The group says its mission is “to halt and reverse the destruction of our natural environment” . Currently, much of its work focuses on the conservation of three biomes that contain most of the world’s biodiversity: forests, freshwater ecosystems, and oceans and coasts. Among other issues, it is also concerned with endangered species, pollution and climate change. The organization runs more than 1,200 field projects worldwide in any given year.

Wedding Photo Shoot…
In disaster, wedding on February 20, 2009 at 7:05 amWedding Photo Shoot – A Day To Remember
Captured moments from the major quake in Si Chuan
It was a day to remember…
Their Wedding shoot.
At the famous 100-year-old Church of the Annunciation in Pengzhou, China.

Morning May 12, photographer Wang went about preparing to shoot wedding pictures for a young couple, this was the test shot before the shoot…
Pengzhou is located in the Sichuan province. It was morning May 12, 2008.
And then it happened…. the earth quake! 7.8 on the Richter scale.
‘Thank God we were only shooting from outside the church!’ remarked a helper.
A cracked facade was all that remained of the 100-year-old Church of the Annunciation after the quake. Most of the church ‘collapsed in 10 seconds,’ said Wang, who lives in Chengdu, capital of hard-hit Sichuan province.
A scarf from a wedding dress lies forgotten in front of the seminary.Wang said he thought the catastrophe would strengthen the bonds of the couples who were there that day: ‘Having gone through a life-and-death test, they surely will clasp hands and grow old together.’

Bricks fall from the building during the earthquake, which turned Wang from awedding photographer into a journalist.

‘I shouted to people, ‘Run! Run!” said photographer Wang Qiang. ‘The ground shook and we couldn’t see anything in the dust.’ Read the rest of this entry »

In art, great people, sculptures on February 13, 2009 at 12:48 pmRon Mueck’s Amazing sculptures!!
Ron Mueck is a London-based photo-realist artist. Born in Melbourne,Australia, to parents who were toy makers, he labored on children’s television shows for 15 years before working in special effects for such films as Labyrinth, a 1986 fantasy epic starring David Bowie. Eventually Mueck concluded that photography pretty much destroys the physical presence of the original object, and so he turned to fine art and sculpture. In the early 1990’s, still in his advertising days, Mueck was commissioned to make something highly realistic, and was wondering what material would do the trick. Latex was the usual, but he wanted something harder, more precise. Luckily, he saw a little architectural decor on the wall of a boutique and inquired as to the nice, pink stuff’s nature. Fiberglass resin was the answer, and Mueck has made it his bronze and marble ever since.

The giant model takes up Arndt’s entire kitchen and probably his social life. It can be broken down into 45 parts for easy transport to various matchstick-builders conventions.

snake wine…
In 18 sg, animal, asia, exotic, food on February 5, 2009 at 7:06 amSnake wine (rĂ†Â°Ă¡”£u rĂ¡ÂºÂ¯n in Vietnamese) is an alcoholic beverage that includes a whole venomous snake in the bottle. It originated in Vietnam and can be found around Southeast Asia. The snakes, preferably venomous ones, are usually not preserved for their meat. They are preserved to have the snake poison dissolved in the liquor. However, because snake venom is protein-based, they are unfolded and therefore inactivated due to the influence of the denaturing effects of ethanol.
A large venomous snake can be placed into a glass jar of rice wine, often with many smaller snakes, turtles, insects, or birds, and left to steep for many months. The wine is drunk as a restorative in small shots or cups
Body fluids of snake are mixed into wine and consumed immediately in the form of a shot. Snake blood wine is prepared by slicing a snake along its belly and draining its blood into a mixing vat with rice wine or grain alcohol. Snake bile wine is done through a similar method by using the contents of the gall bladder. Snake meat, liver, and skin can be prepared to accompany the drinks
peoples are very2 smart…even the poisonous creature can they eat…do u want 1???..find it out.. in VIETNAM..
